Overview

Drag a timer out of the edge of any page. Pull to set the time, let go to start, or run a whole Pomodoro session.

Tuckit is a timer that lives on the edge of the page you are already on. A small tab sits on one edge of every page. Drag it inward and a rope follows your pointer, with stops at 5, 10, 15, 25, 50 and 90 minutes — each one labelled with the time it would actually finish. Let go on the one you want and the timer starts. No popup, no separate tab, no form to fill in. It keeps running while you move around. Close the tab it started in and it carries on, because the timer lives in the extension rather than in the page. POMODORO IN ONE GESTURE Switch the pill to Pomodoro and the same rope measures cycles instead of minutes: a long stretch of focus, a short break, up to six times. Pull three, get three. Breaks start themselves, so a four-cycle run needs nothing from you once it is going. BLOCK THE SITES THAT COST YOU THE HOUR Add the sites you lose time to, and they close while you are focusing and open again on your break. When the session ends it takes you to the page you were actually trying to reach, not a homepage. This is the one thing a menu-bar timer cannot do — it can tell you a timer is running, but it cannot stand between you and the site. AN HONEST RECORD Every finished session is logged: how long you asked for, how long it really ran, and when. The gap between those two numbers is the useful one, and almost nothing else shows it to you. You also get a daily breakdown of focus against breaks, the hours you actually start work, and a streak that counts a day once you finish one session. SAVED ROUTINES Build a run of sessions and breaks once — 90 minutes on, 15 off, 90 more — name it, and start the whole thing in a single click. IT STAYS ON YOUR MACHINE No account. No sign-in. No analytics, no telemetry, no ads, and nothing sold to anybody. Your history is stored on your own computer and never sent anywhere, because there is nowhere to send it — Tuckit makes no network requests at all. Your settings and saved routines use Chrome's own sync, so they follow you between computers if you have Chrome sync switched on. Full detail in the privacy policy. SHORTCUTS Alt+Shift+T command bar — type "25 deep work" or "pom 4" Alt+Shift+F full screen Alt+Shift+H hide the tab Free, and free to keep.
