TubeFold turns long YouTube videos into clean, structured Markdown notes — using the AI subscription you already have. This extension is a companion to the TubeFold desktop app for macOS. While you're watching a video on YouTube, click the TubeFold toolbar button to send the current video to the app, which generates a structured Markdown summary with the key ideas, arguments, and takeaways — ready for Obsidian, your notes, or a personal knowledge base. ⚠️ Requires the free, open-source TubeFold app for macOS, running on the same Mac: https://tubefold.github.io/ Why TubeFold is different: • Bring your own AI — it uses the Codex CLI or Claude Code subscription already authenticated on your Mac.
