Tube Snip: YouTube Summary & Transcript
Overview
YouTube transcript with timestamps, search and chapters in a side panel, free. AI summary and Q&A with a free account.
Get the point of any YouTube video without watching all of it. Tube Snip adds a Summary button under every YouTube video. Click it and a side panel opens next to the video with: • Summary: the key points of the video, each with a timestamp. Click a timestamp and the video jumps there. • Transcript: every line with its time. The line being spoken lights up as the video plays, so you can read along. • Search: type any word to find where it was said, then click the line to play that moment. • Chapters: the creator's chapters in one list. No chapters on the video? Tube Snip makes them. • Ask: ask a question about the video ("what did she say about pricing?") and get an answer that points to the moment. • Study notes: longer notes for lectures, courses and podcasts. • Summaries in 17 languages, whatever language the video is in. • Copy the transcript with timestamps in one click. The transcript, search and the creator's chapters are free, with no account. For AI summaries, made chapters, study notes and Ask, create a free Tube Snip account: you get free starter credits once your email is confirmed, and your results are saved to your Library. Made for students, researchers, podcast listeners, and anyone who watches long videos for one part. Privacy: the extension only reads the address of the YouTube video you have open and sends its video ID to tubesnip.com. No browsing history, no tracking, nothing sold. Website: https://tubesnip.com
