TrueHammer
Overview
Calculates and displays the out-the-door (OTD) price directly on Bring a Trailer and Cars & Bids listings.
TrueHammer calculates and displays the estimated total out-the-door (OTD) price—inclusive of buyer fees, local sales tax, and registration/flat fees—directly inside auction pages and listings on Bring a Trailer and Cars & Bids. Features: - Auto-calculates progressive platform buyer fees (including motorcycle/tractor category rules on BaT). - Computes local sales tax based on customizable tax profiles (supporting both hammer-only and hammer-plus-fee tax bases). - Adds flat fees (such as registration, doc, or transport fees). - Annotates listings directly in grids, search results, individual auction headers, bid histories, and comment threads. - Completely offline, privacy-focused calculation. No data leaves your machine. How to Use: 1. Click the TrueHammer icon in your browser toolbar to create a Tax Profile. 2. Enter your local tax rate, specify if tax applies to the buyer's fee, and add any flat fees. 3. Browse Bring a Trailer or Cars & Bids—estimated OTD prices will appear automatically next to current bids. 4. Hover over any OTD price to see the detailed cost breakdown. Privacy & Permissions: All data is stored locally in your browser's secure storage. TrueHammer does not track, collect, or transmit any user details.
