True Audio for YouTube

Plays every YouTube video in its original audio and shows original titles instead of AI auto-dubs and auto-translated titles.

Hear YouTube the way it was made. True Audio switches every video back to its original audio track and puts the creator's own title back, so you never have to dig through the settings gear to undo an AI dub again. YouTube now auto-dubs videos and translates titles based on your account language, and there is no global off switch. If you speak more than one language, are learning one, or simply want the real voice of the person on screen, you end up fixing the audio track by hand on every single video. True Audio does it for you, automatically, the moment a video loads. What it does • Original audio everywhere: regular videos, Shorts and embedded players on youtube.com are switched to the track YouTube itself marks as original. • Original titles: the creator's own title replaces the translated one on the video page and in the browser tab. • Original titles in feeds: search results, the sidebar, channel pages and other video lists show the real titles too. • Languages you understand: optionally list your languages in priority order. If a video's original language is not on the list, True Audio plays a dub in the first of your languages the video offers. Leave the list empty to always hear the original. • Per-channel rules: like the dub on one channel? Tell True Audio to keep YouTube's choice there, or to always force the original. • Audio badge: a small badge on the player confirms when the original was restored and marks audio that is dubbed. • Track switcher: the popup lists every audio track of the current video, labelled Original, Dub or Auto-dub, and lets you change track in one click. • Works with YouTube's single-page navigation, and respects a track you pick by hand for a video. Private by design No account, no analytics, no tracking. Your settings stay in your browser. The only network request the extension makes is to YouTube itself, to look up a video's original title. Everything is free in this version. Each feature has its own switch, and one click pauses the whole extension. True Audio is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
