READ Open the side panel on a YouTube watch page to load the transcript when English captions are available. Read captions like a document, follow along as the video plays, and stay oriented with clear caption-source labels (creator-provided or auto-generated). FIND Search the transcript for a term, name, or phrase—or ask a question about this video. Results and answers point back to timestamped caption evidence, not a free-floating summary. VERIFY Every substantive answer links to raw caption anchors. Click an anchor to play that moment and hear the context yourself. Answers are labeled so you can tell what was stated, what was synthesized from multiple moments, what is not stated, or what needs visuals the transcript cannot provide. KEEP (lightweight in this version) Copy a passage with source details (title, channel, URL, timestamp, caption source), or copy the full transcript with timestamps when you need the whole document. On your first Ask, TranscriptLens explains that your question and the current video transcript are sent to an AI service through TranscriptLens servers. Search and reading stay local. You get up to 50 completed AI answers per browser per local day; transcript search remains available after the limit. PRIVACY Local-first and private by default.
