Turn the captions available on a YouTube video into readable text without leaving the video page. Main features: - Continuous transcript: combines the available YouTube caption blocks into text without timestamps. - Timestamped text: keeps caption blocks separate and preserves their start times. - Optional Google Gemini summary: create a bullet-point summary with your own Gemini API key. - Seven interface and summary languages: English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Russian, and Simplified Chinese. - Saved preferences: your selected language and Gemini API key remain in your Chrome profile after restarting Chrome. Transcript extraction does not use Gemini or require an API key. The extension reads captions already available for the current video; it does not transcribe audio. Videos without available captions may not be supported. Gemini is contacted only when you explicitly request a summary. The transcript and a summary instruction are sent to Google Gemini, using your API key for authentication. The video file, YouTube account, and general browsing history are not sent to Gemini. Google's availability, quotas, pricing, and data-processing terms apply. The interface language also determines the summary language. Transcripts remain in the video's original caption language. The extension is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
