Get the full transcript out of a Microsoft Teams meeting recap in one click without waiting for the organizer to share the actual file. Teams shows you the transcript in the recap, but the download button only appears for the organizer, and only when a recording exists and the file has been shared. If you were in the meeting, you can see the transcript, but you cannot save it. ಠ_ಠ This extension fixes that. HOW IT WORKS Open the meeting recap in Teams in your browser, switch to the Transcript tab, and click the extension. Then click Copy or Download. The extension scrolls the transcript panel so every line loads, reads the text that is already on your screen, and hands you a clean file or clipboard copy. Nothing leaves your browser. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Other transcript downloaders only work on the SharePoint recording page and need the transcript file to exist and be shared with you. This one reads the recap itself, so it also works for: - Meetings that were transcribed but not recorded - Meetings where the organizer never shared the transcript - Recaps where the Download option is missing or greyed out FEATURES - In-page Copy and Download buttons right on the transcript panel, plus the toolbar popup - Five export formats: plain text, Markdown, compact text for AI assistants, WebVTT, and SRT - Compact format merges consecutive lines from the same speaker and drops timestamps, cutting token count by about a third for pasting into Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude - Header with meeting title, date, duration, and speaker list - Picks up Teams-generated recap notes and follow-up tasks when they are on the page, and includes them in the export - Smart filenames from the meeting title and date - Live progress and cancel for long meetings - Light and dark mode - Settings for default format, timestamps, merging, and more PRIVACY Everything runs locally in your browser. No data is collected, stored, or transmitted. No account, no server, no analytics. NOTES - Works in the Teams web app (teams.microsoft.com, teams.cloud.microsoft) and in the Teams desktop app's web views when opened in Chrome or Edge. - You need to be able to see the transcript in the recap.
