)Overview
One click gets the full YouTube transcript. Copy it, clean it, or turn the video into text your AI can build from. Free.
Some videos are worth watching. Most are worth reading in two minutes. A 40 minute tutorial, a 90 minute podcast, a conference talk, a lecture, a recipe buried behind eight minutes of intro. You want what was said, not the runtime. Today that means opening the transcript panel, clicking through it, selecting eight thousand words, pasting them somewhere, and deleting twelve hundred timestamps by hand. This does it in one click. Free. No account, no sign up, nothing to configure before it works. THREE MODES Raw The full caption text. Duplicate lines merged, sound cues and timestamps stripped, paragraphed. Faithful to what was actually said. Clean Everything Raw gives you, minus the noise. The greeting, the subscribe ask, the sponsor read and the sign-off are gone. So are the filler words, the stutters and the repeated lines. Chapter headings from the video are kept, so the structure survives. AI-Ready For when the video was teaching you to build something. Not a summary: a build document. The stack, every command that was spoken, the files that were touched, the environment variables, an ordered walkthrough grouped by the video's own chapters, and every warning the speaker gave. Built for pasting into Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT and saying "build this". WHY AI-READY IS DIFFERENT A normal AI summary tells you "the creator builds a Next.js app with Supabase and configures authentication". True, and useless if you are trying to reproduce it. AI-Ready gives you the npm install lines, the file paths, the env var names, the order things happened in, and the "do not put middleware.ts in the app folder" warning that the summary threw away. It also repairs what speech-to-text broke. "N P X create next app" becomes npx create-next-app. "App slash page dot t s x" becomes app/page.tsx. "Dot env dot local" becomes .env.local. HOW IT WORKS Click the icon on any YouTube video. That is the whole interaction. No pasting URLs, no opening the transcript panel, no account. WHO IT IS FOR Students turning a lecture into notes. Researchers pulling quotes out of a talk. Journalists working from an interview. Anyone with an hour long podcast and ten minutes to spare. Developers who would rather read a tutorial than scrub through it. Anyone who has ever watched a video at 2x and still resented the time. PRICING Raw and Clean are free and unlimited, forever, and run entirely in your browser. AI-Ready is free for three conversions a day. Connect your own model key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter and the limit goes away, because at that point you are paying your own inference bill. PRIVACY No server. No account. No analytics. No tracking. The transcript is read by your own browser from the YouTube page you already have open. It never passes through us, because there is nothing to pass through. The only time anything is sent anywhere is if you connect a model key and press Run model, and then it goes to that provider directly. Your API key is stored on your machine and is used only as the authorization header on calls to the provider it belongs to. PERMISSIONS activeTab and scripting: to read the transcript from the tab you are on, at the moment you click the icon. Nothing runs in the background. storage: to keep your settings on your machine. Provider domains: optional, requested only when you connect a model. Works on Chrome, Opera, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers.
