🎯 You saved the video. Now save what made it worth watching. A brilliant explanation. A quote for your next article. A detail you need for a project. You know it's in there - somewhere between the introduction and the closing remarks. So you drag the progress bar. Listen again. Pause to type. Rewind because you missed the next sentence. And that useful video becomes another open tab you'll "come back to later." ✨ BRING THE WORDS OUT OF THE VIDEO Transcribe Any Video turns supported public video links into readable text in your Chrome side panel. Save the result as a text or Markdown file, or copy a passage straight into your own document. Now you have something you can work with: a lecture to study, an interview to reference, an explanation to keep. Open the exported file in your text editor, search for a phrase, and return to the words that matter. The next time you need that idea, your notes can hold more than a link. 🎁 START WITH ONE VIDEO. FREE. Try your first video up to 10 minutes long with no account and no credit card required. Choose a short lesson, interview, or explanation you've been meaning to take notes on. See how the result fits the way you study, write, or work before deciding whether you need more time. 🪟 KEEP THE VIDEO AND ITS WORDS SIDE BY SIDE Open the Chrome side panel, submit your link, and follow processing progress beside the page you're already viewing. Once the result is ready, read it alongside the video. Copy the passage you need while the source is still in view. A browser notification lets you know when processing is complete. 📄 SAVE THE WORDS. KEEP THE SOURCE. A saved transcript can become the starting point for your own notes, research, or next draft. • Plain text (.txt): easy to open, search, and edit in a text editor. Keep a readable copy on your device. • Markdown (.md): the transcript with a header containing the video title, source URL, transcription date, processing method, and duration when available. Keep the words and their source together. • Copy to clipboard: move the text into the document you're already working on. You choose how to organize and use the result. Save it with your course material, attach it to your research notes, or use it as source material while you write. 🎓 STUDY THE EXPLANATION AT YOUR OWN PACE A lecture can move faster than your notes. Turn a supported recording into text you can revisit while building your own study guide. Read a difficult explanation again. Search your exported file for a term. Pull relevant passages into your notes and add your own understanding. 💼 PUT WHAT YOU LEARN TO WORK A useful webinar or public presentation can contain the detail you need for a brief, a proposal, or a discussion with your team. Keep the spoken material in a document you can review as you work. Refer back to the source, check the wording, and write your own takeaways. ✍️ SPEND MORE OF YOUR WRITING TIME WRITING When you're working from a recorded interview, manually typing the conversation can become a task of its own. Start with a transcript. Find the passage you want to discuss, check it against the original, and build your article, script, or research draft around the material. 🧠 BUILD NOTES YOU'LL WANT TO RETURN TO Some explanations are worth keeping close. Export the text and store it with the rest of your notes, so it has a place in your own system. If you use an AI assistant that accepts text, you can also paste the transcript into a prompt and ask it to help you organize a summary or study outline. ⚡ CAPTIONS WHEN AVAILABLE. SPEECH RECOGNITION WHEN NEEDED. The service uses available platform captions when possible. When captions are unavailable, it processes the audio through speech recognition. Results depend on the source captions and audio quality. 🛠️ FROM LINK TO TEXT IN THREE STEPS 1️⃣ OPEN Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the side panel. 2️⃣ TRANSCRIBE Paste a supported video link and select "Transcribe". Follow the processing progress in the panel. 3️⃣ USE YOUR RESULT Read the text, copy it, or save a TXT or Markdown file for your own notes and documents. 🌐 WORKING WITH DIFFERENT VIDEO SOURCES Submit public video links you have permission to transcribe. Source availability varies; access restrictions can prevent some links from being processed. For supported public YouTube recordings up to 60 minutes, "Process in browser" offers an alternative when server access is blocked. It requests optional site access and opens a separate muted tab to prepare the audio. Keep that tab active during preparation. Switching away pauses preparation; select "Continue" to resume. This step can take several minutes. Your trial or account minute limits still apply. 💎 START FREE.
