Works fine, but needs to be updated with a context menu option to fit in with the new Chrome configuration. Having extensions collapsed in the toolbar is a plus, except for apps that need regular access but don't provide access via the context menu. Previous note from the author references a context menu option when right clicking on a link, but the author apparently doesn't realize that **MOST PEOPLE** want to transform the page they are on, not a page they have not yet gone to.

Just tried a bunch and this is the first one to work (maybe my other extensions were blocking the others). Very nice/fast thank you.

This reader is best suited to someone at least somewhat computer savvy with patience. While Tranquility Reader doesn't offer options that I believe should be standard, such as image on/off, it has an attractive typically unfound option. Uniquely, it lets you define, name, and save Presets, that can even be named to favorite sites. Presets offered by default, don't seem well-coordinated to the average computer user, and that's why I don't recommend it to beginners. It does a less than avera... Show more

Update on "Context Menu" -- the context menu works fine for me when I right click on a link and select "Tranqulize!" -- the page pointed by the link is loaded and transformed into the reader view. Please provide more details (a sample page you have on the browser, and the specific link you are trying to transform using the right click context menu).

Exactly what I needed. An indispensable tool for my work.

Look it works. All I need is to be able to read it and sometimes copy it. And it serves that purpose. But guys, pay for it if you can. If you only need one article, then you might as well use it. But if you are a regular user, try to pay for it.

This extension has so much promise! As of Feb 24, 2021, it works as intended in terms of decluttering, adjusting font type and size, and text display. I can feel the strain on my eyes lifted! Being able to save and manage my own pre-sets is also quite powerful. However, no matter whether I use one of the presets or customize my own, changes to the background and font colors do not work. No matter what I select, it remains in a kind of "night mode" with a dark grey background and a pale blue... Show more

Hi Luis, Thank you for the review. On the two issue you have highlighted, I am unable to test on the Macintosh platform, but: (1) Background color: the changes seem to work fine for me. You may want to try and change the "preset" value in the extension preferences/settings to see if that effects any changes for you in the colors. Maybe there is some error in typing the hex codes for the different colors. Please check again to make sure there is no error in you codes. (2) Shortcut Ctrl+Shift+T not working -- it is possible that some shortcuts conflict with other extensions or with some of the inbuilt chrome shortcuts. You can always customize the shortcuts as you prefer. When you go to "More Tools" --> "Extensions", you can click on the main menu of the Extensions page (3 bars at the left top corner of your screen). You will find a menu with the option to customize "Keyboard Shortcuts" and you can use any keyboard shortcut you prefer to invoke transforming a page (other shortcuts can also be set up for Tranquility Reader to go to the settings/preferences page, or show the pages saved for offline reading). Please leave a note if you continue to have problems getting this to work or if you have any other feedback or questions.

Thank you for the review. Keyboard shortcut is already available as: Ctrl+Shift+T. Do leave a note if you have any problems getting it to work.
