TrailEditor.app: Strava Heatmap Extension

Shows Strava's Global Heatmap in Trail Editor, with your own Strava login, for tracing trails into OpenStreetMap.

Trail Editor (https://traileditor.app) is a lightweight map editor dedicated to improving mountain bike trails on OpenStreetMap. This extension allows loading Strava's Global Heatmap as a map layer in the editor. How to use it: 1. Install the extension. 2. Open https://www.strava.com/maps/global-heatmap in the same browser and log in to Strava if it asks (free account). Strava then lets your browser load the detailed heatmap for about a week; open it again when it stops. 3. In Trail Editor, open the Map window and switch on Strava Heatmap Privacy: Your browser loads the heatmap straight from Strava with your own Strava login. The extension never sees your password or cookies and sends nothing to Trail Editor's servers.
