Trailback helps you get back to any web page you visited — even weeks later, even after you cleared your browser history. This free extension is the browser half of Trailback, a private memory app for Mac and Windows. It tells the Trailback app on your computer which page you're looking at (the page title and web address), so later you can find it again just by describing it — like "that pricing page with the blue table". WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES • When you open or switch to a page, it sends that page's title and address to the Trailback app on this computer, using Chrome's native messaging. • That's all. Nothing is sent to the internet — not to us, not to anyone. • Incognito windows are never included. • It doesn't read page contents, what you type, or passwords. • Optional: if you switch on "Include text I select" in the Trailback app, the extension asks your permission and then also passes along text you highlight. Off by default. • No ads, no analytics, no tracking. YOU NEED THE TRAILBACK APP The extension does nothing on its own.
