Your GitHub token should never have to leave your browser. TrafficKeep makes sure it doesn't. GitHub only shows 14 days of traffic on the Insights tab, and other tools that fix this ask you to sign in and hand your data to THEIR servers to fix it. TrafficKeep takes a different approach: everything happens locally, in your own browser, with your own token. No account. No backend. No company sitting between you and your own data. The problem: Views, unique visitors, clones — GitHub deletes all of it after 14 days. No setting to change it, no way to export it after the fact. If you weren't checking that week, it's gone for good. The fix, done the private way: TrafficKeep saves a snapshot of your traffic data every day, quietly, before GitHub's window rolls over. Over time you build up 30 days, 90 days, a year, lifetime — all sitting in your own browser, never touching any server but GitHub's own official API. Why local-only actually matters: Your Personal Access Token stays in chrome.storage.local on your device. Full stop. The only network request this extension ever makes is to api.github.com, using your own token, for repos you choose to track. No sign-up, no email, no third-party dashboard holding your data hostage. The full source code is public — don't take our word for it, go read exactly what it does before you trust it with a token. If you ever uninstall, everything's gone instantly. No lingering account, no "please confirm deletion" email chain, because there was never anywhere else for it to live.
