Overview
The extension allows you to set a traffic_type flag in your browser's session storage for specific websites.
Use the traffic_type flag to control the firing of GTM tags or to filter out internal and developer traffic when you don’t have access to a VPN or a static IP address. This helps you exclude internal and developer visits from your analytics and marketing platforms. How It Works 1. Add and Flag your Site - Add a website URL, choose a flag value (such as internal, developer, or a custom string), and click Save. 2. Automatic Session Storage - Whenever you visit that site, the extension automatically sets the traffic_type value in your browser's session storage. 3. Filter in GTM - In Google Tag Manager (GTM), read this stored value using a JavaScript variable to easily filter your traffic or control when your tags fire. The flag is active only for the specified websites and is removed when the extension is turned off or the tab is closed.
