TPE (Bayesian): Recommended default. Learns from every cycle and spends the budget where the payoff is most likely, so it finds high-scoring parameter sets in far fewer backtests. 2. Bisection (Smart Search): A fast, deterministic, resumable three-phase search that brackets the best region of each parameter and zooms in. 3. Bisection then TPE Refine: Runs the full Bisection search, then hands the remaining budget to Bayesian TPE to polish around the peak, all in one run. 4. Simulated Annealing: A probabilistic walk that escapes local optima as it cools. 5. Brute Force: An exhaustive grid sweep that guarantees full coverage of your ranges. Ideal for small spaces. 6. Sequential Improvements: Coordinate descent that tunes one parameter at a time. 7. Random: Uniform random sampling, and the warm-up that bootstraps TPE. Not sure which to use?
