Tracklint — Tracking QA for GA4 & Meta Pixel
Overview
Check GA4 and Meta Pixel events against your measurement plan, review consent, and export a client-ready QA report.
Check that Google Analytics™ 4 (GA4) and the Meta Pixel send what your measurement plan says, and hand your client the evidence. Tracklint adds a panel to Chrome DevTools. Click "Reload and record", go through the site (product, cart, checkout…) and Tracklint: • Lists the GA4 and Meta Pixel requests it captures, with decoded parameters, items and consent state: GA4 hits sent to a /g/collect path (including batches and server-side tagging endpoints that keep that path) and Meta Pixel hits sent to facebook.com/tr. • Checks the captured events against your measurement plan — a CSV in Tracklint's format (the ready-made templates are editable starting points; Excel's semicolon CSV works too): required parameters, rules (value > 0, currency format, every item has an ID…), how many times an event may be sent, events sent to an ID that is not in the plan, and events that must never fire. Events that are not in the plan are listed. • Reviews consent for the events your plan marks as needing it (the EU template does this for you): it reads the consent signals of Google's tag that the page exposes (Consent Mode commands in the dataLayer and Google's consent state) and flags Meta Pixel events sent while ad_storage was denied. It does not read your cookie banner directly, and when the order of events cannot be established it says so ("review") instead of guessing. GA4 cookieless pings in Consent Mode advanced are shown as information, not as errors. • Compares GA4 purchases with Meta Pixel Purchases when they can be related (a common order ID, or exactly one order on each side): value, currency and number of orders. Purchases that cannot be related are reported as not compared. • Runs automatic checks: email addresses sent in parameters, advanced matching fields that are not in SHA-256 hash format, values that are not numbers, currency codes outside its ISO 4217 list, a GA4 value that is not the sum of the items, and page views or standard conversions (purchase, lead, sign-up) sent twice with identical data within 1.5 seconds. • Exports a report (HTML you can print to PDF) and a findings CSV. In the report and the CSV, client, session and user IDs, user properties and advanced matching data are hidden; email addresses are masked (also URL-encoded ones); and in URLs, including nested URLs and fragments, the values of parameters whose names suggest personal data or click IDs (email, name, phone, token, client, session, gclid, fbclid…) are replaced. This is automatic masking, not a guarantee. Check the report before sharing it: other values are shown as sent. Free: live event inspector, consent timeline, automatic checks, and a preview of plan validation with no time limit: the summary, each plan row's status and one first finding, if any. Pro (US$19/month plus applicable taxes): every finding of the plan validation (including the events and IDs outside your plan), the GA4 vs Meta Pixel comparison and exports. One subscription is for one person. 14-day guarantee on your first payment: see the refund policy at tracklint.netlify.app/refunds. Private by design: the analysis runs in your browser. Tracklint has no server of its own and no analytics, needs no account to inspect, and never sends the data it inspects anywhere. It asks for no website permissions: it works inside DevTools on the tab you inspect, reading the requests DevTools shows and the page's consent state. The only requests Tracklint itself makes are license requests to Freemius, the payment provider, from when you open its panel until you close DevTools: when you enter or remove a Pro key, about once a week and when the paid period ends (once a day while Freemius cannot confirm it), and to free the activation of a key this browser stops using. Scope: Tracklint checks the requests your browser sends during the journey you record. It does not verify processing inside Google Analytics or Meta, server-to-server integrations, or legal compliance. Works with Google Analytics 4 (including Google Tag Manager) and the Meta Pixel. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are trademarks of Google LLC. Meta is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. Tracklint is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Google or Meta.
