Tracker for Prolific keeps a private record of your study work, so you always know what you have earned, what is still waiting on a researcher, and how long each study actually took. EARNINGS See your total for today, this week, this month, this year or all time, with arrows to step back through earlier periods. Every total is broken down by outcome, so money you have been paid is never mixed in with money still under review. Dollars, pounds and euros are always kept apart rather than added together. Your studies are picked up automatically from your submission history as you browse it, and you can load everything you have ever done in one step using the official history file Prolific already offers you. Add your own entries by hand when you need to, and export what you are looking at whenever you like. TIMER The timer can start itself when you begin a study and stop itself once the study is marked finished, so you get an honest hourly rate without touching a stopwatch. Each session goes into a private log with the researcher and the study identifier, which is handy if your time is ever questioned. Both of those automatic behaviours have their own switch, so you can hand over as much or as little as you want and run the timer yourself instead. BUDGET Divide what you earn into named categories with a percentage each, for example tax, savings and spending money. The amounts work themselves out as your earnings change, over whichever stretch of time you choose. GOALS AND ACHIEVEMENTS Set a target for how many studies or how much money you want in a day, a week, a month or a year, then watch a progress bar fill up. Streaks count how many periods in a row you managed it, and an optional desktop alert lets you know the moment you get there. Ninety achievements are waiting to be unlocked, with your progress shown on the ones you have not reached yet, and you can invent your own from a long list of measures. ANALYTICS A dashboard of small cards that you put together yourself. Twenty-six are ready to use straight away. They cover things like how your income has moved over time, which weekday treats you best, what time of day suits you, and how often your work gets approved. You can also define a card of your own by choosing what to measure, what to leave out, how to group it and how far back to look. Drag the cards wherever you want them and resize any of them. The display changes to suit the size: a single big figure when small, a graph when medium, a graph with a table underneath when large. Cards that cover a stretch of time let you swap between several date ranges, right down to a year at a time. MAKE IT YOURS Reorder the tabs by dragging them, and hide any you never open. Pick a light or dark appearance, or let it follow your computer. A summary screen gathers your balance, your pending amount, your lifetime figures and an accurate approval percentage in one place. Everything you have collected can be exported, backed up as a single file, or erased entirely. PRIVATE BY DESIGN This tool only reads what is already on screen while you browse. It never clicks, submits, reserves or returns anything on your behalf, it never alters the pages you are looking at, and it makes no requests to Prolific at all.
