Overview

Local request profiles, header/cookie rules, URL tools, and redirect tracing.

Trace, modify, and control browser requests locally. TraceDeck is a request toolkit for web developers and QA engineers. It combines redirect inspection, reusable request rules, cookie controls, and URL parameter editing in one compact extension. No account, external service, or cloud storage is required. Rules & Overrides • Create reusable profiles for request headers, response headers, cookie overrides, and redirects. • Limit profiles to matching URLs, request methods, resource types, the browser session, one tab, or an optional auto-off time. • Start from disabled cache-bypass, CORS-testing, and debug-header presets. • Validate malformed rules and review potential conflicts between enabled profiles before applying them. • See which rules apply to the current page and when a saved profile is paused, expired, assigned to another tab, or missing site access. Redirect Path • Follow a page's top-level navigation chain from the requested URL to its final destination. • Review HTTP status, timing, request headers, response headers, and redirect destinations for each hop. • Show the requested page's status as an optional color-coded toolbar badge. • Copy a captured request as a safely quoted cURL command or export the trace as local JSON. • Sensitive authentication, cookie, API-key, and CSRF header values are masked by default and omitted or redacted from copied and exported reports. Cookie controls • View, add, edit, delete, encode, or decode cookies for the active website. • Review cookie domain, path, expiry, SameSite, Secure, and HttpOnly attributes. • Lock a selected cookie into the active profile as a request-time override. URL Parameters • Edit the current URL or another open URL from the same domain. • Add, remove, copy, encode, or decode query parameters and open the resulting URL. • TraceDeck does not save URL history or parameter values. Workflow utilities • Approve only the current site from the popup, or explicitly allow all sites in Settings. • Configure which tools and toolbar controls appear in the popup. • Reload open HTTP(S) tabs, import or export individual profiles, and create or restore local JSON backups. • Reset to safe defaults without deleting saved rules. Local by design TraceDeck has no developer-operated server, analytics, advertising, telemetry, or tracking. Browsing activity, request metadata, headers, cookies, profiles, rules, and preferences are processed locally only to provide the features you use. Configuration remains in browser-local storage, while redirect traces remain in memory and are discarded automatically.
