TouchLock locks your browser behind Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a PIN. Lock your whole profile when you step away, or keep just your most sensitive sites (banking, email, work tools) locked even while the browser is open. 🔒 WHAT IT DOES When TouchLock is locked, a lock screen covers every tab and window. Nothing can be opened until you verify it's you: new tabs, other websites, anything typed in the address bar, and browser pages like Settings or Extensions all wait at the lock screen. After you unlock, every tab returns to the page it was opening. With Lock Specific Sites, you can also protect individual websites. A locked site asks for your fingerprint or PIN before it opens, even when the rest of the browser is unlocked. The page never loads until you unlock it. 👆 UNLOCK YOUR WAY • Touch ID on macOS • Windows Hello on Windows • A 4–10 digit PIN, always available as a fallback • Optional: require your PIN every 1–24 hours, even when you use your fingerprint ⚡ KEY FEATURES Browser lock • Profile-level lock: covers all tabs and windows, not just the current one • Nothing opens while locked: websites and browser pages wait at the lock screen and come back after you unlock • Auto-lock on startup: the browser locks every time it opens, and stays locked if it was closed while locked • Idle auto-lock: locks after a period of inactivity (1 minute to 1 hour) • Instant lock: one click from the toolbar, or press Alt+L (customizable) • Optional fullscreen lock screen: hides the address bar and tabs while locked; pressing Esc doesn't exit it Lock Specific Sites • Lock any site, such as your bank, email, or cloud storage • Add sites in Settings, or click "Lock this site" in the toolbar popup • Choose when an unlocked site locks again: when you leave it, after 5–60 minutes, or only when the browser locks • Optionally include subdomains (locking google.com also covers mail.google.com) • Sites always lock again when the browser locks or restarts Require PIN every… (new) • Choose 1, 4, 6, 12, or 24 hours • After that time, your fingerprint stops working until you unlock once with your PIN — then it works again for another full period • Applies to the lock screen, locked sites, and settings confirmations • Entering your PIN regularly also helps you remember it Protection and recovery • PIN-protected settings: changing your PIN, biometrics, recovery questions, or locked sites requires your PIN or fingerprint • PIN recovery: answer 2 of your 3 security questions to reset a forgotten PIN • Guided tour: a short walkthrough of every setting on first install 🔐 PRIVACY & SECURITY • Your PIN and security answers are hashed with SHA-256 and a random salt, never stored in plain text • Biometrics use the WebAuthn standard with user verification required; your fingerprint never leaves your device • All settings are stored locally in your browser profile • No accounts, analytics, tracking, or ads • Written in plain JavaScript with no third-party libraries, and fully open source on GitHub 💬 WE LISTEN Report a bug or request a feature from Settings, and we'll fix or build it within 7 days at most.
