TOT – Chase Tracker
Overview
Gold chase tracker with optional red chase tracker. Drag, resize, lock. Integrates with the unified TOT dock.
TOT – Chase Tracker is a simple, manual counter tool designed for Dungeon Masters who run games with a digital map or display. Unlike a stopwatch or automatic timer, the Chase Tracker never runs on its own — you control the pace. Use the + and – buttons to adjust the number up or down as your adventure unfolds. Features: Manual Counter: Increase or decrease the number with clear + and – buttons. Flexible Use Cases: -Countdowns: Track how many turns remain until a trap is triggered or a ritual completes. -Build-ups: Count rounds upward to see how long a battle has lasted. -Chases: Track two numbers side-by-side — the gold tracker for players and the red tracker for enemies — to simulate tense pursuit scenes. -Movable & Resizable: Position the counter anywhere on your map and adjust its size for easy visibility. -Integrated with TOT Dock: Launches from the shared TOT dock alongside other tools like the Initiative Tracker, Progress Clock, and AOE Plotter. Intended Function: The Chase Tracker is not an automatic stopwatch or timer. It is a manual tracking overlay designed specifically for RPG play, where the DM controls when the counter changes. Inspiration: Tabletop DMs often need to keep track of countdowns, chase sequences, or progress toward story events. The Chase Tracker provides a lightweight, always-visible overlay that integrates seamlessly with your virtual tabletop or in-person display. Installation: Install from the Chrome Web Store. Once active, open your VTT or map display, then click the gold TOT dock button to toggle the Chase Tracker on or off. TOT Ecosystem: The Chase Tracker is part of the TOT (Tabletop Overlay Tools) ecosystem, a suite of browser extensions that restore missing functionality for DMs who run in-person games on digital displays. Other available tools include: -Initiative Tracker: Organize turn order and track combat easily. -Progress Clock: Visualize countdowns and narrative tension. -AOE Plotter: Drop circles, squares, and cones directly onto your maps. Together, these tools help Dungeon Masters manage the unique challenges of running in-person RPG sessions with digital maps — keeping immersion high while reducing bookkeeping.
