Give light websites a darker appearance with Torvi Shade for Chrome on your computer. Keep the controls close at hand while you read, work or explore. Decide when dark mode should run and which websites should keep their original appearance. - Turn Torvi Shade on or off with one switch. - Choose Default, Always dark or Original appearance for each website. - Use dark mode all the time, or follow your system appearance. - Adjust brightness, contrast and warmth. - Keep a website’s own dark theme when detected, if you prefer. - Add button borders to make controls easier to distinguish. Torvi Shade adapts backgrounds, text and other page elements, including newly loaded content. Images are handled with the aim of preserving their appearance rather than inverting every colour. Results can vary between websites. If a particular page does not look right, choose Original appearance for that website. Always dark overrides the setting that preserves a site’s own dark theme. Your preferences stay in this browser’s local storage and are not synced between devices. No account is required. Torvi Shade contains no advertising or analytics. Something looks wrong? The report feature prepares an email to hello@torvistudio.com. Login credentials, query parameters and the fragment are removed from the website address. Review the address before sending: its path may still contain private information. You can attach a screenshot yourself after hiding personal details. The extension does not take screenshots or send reports automatically.
