Topside

)Overview
Newest tabs first in Chrome's vertical tabs, with a + button pinned to the top of the list.
Topside puts what you just opened where you can see it. Chrome's vertical tabs add every new tab to the bottom of the list, and the New Tab button sits down there too. With a lot of tabs open, the page you opened a second ago is the one you have to scroll to find. Topside turns that around. What it does - New tabs open at the top of your tab list, just below your pinned tabs - Links you open in a new tab land right above the tab you opened them from, so related pages stay together - A blue + pinned to the top of the list opens a new tab with one click, even when the sidebar is collapsed - Works with tab groups: a link opened from a grouped tab joins that group - Restarting Chrome keeps your tabs exactly where they were Private by design Topside never reads the pages you visit, their titles or their addresses. Nothing is collected or sent anywhere. No accounts, no analytics. Getting started Turn on Chrome's vertical tabs (right-click any tab and choose to show tabs vertically), and Topside does the rest. Don't want the + button? Right-click the Topside icon in your toolbar and switch it off. Good to know The + is a pinned tab, because that's the only thing Chrome lets an extension keep at the top of the list. Moving through tabs with Ctrl+Tab passes over it and opens a new tab.
