Overview

Too many tabs? Save them in one click, organize them into collections, and restore any session later, on any device.

If you have 40 tabs open right now and you're afraid to close any of them, Toby was built for you. Toby is a tab manager and session manager for Chrome. It turns your new tab page into a visual board of everything you're working on, sorted into collections you can reopen in a click. Nothing gets lost, and nothing needs rebuilding tomorrow morning. Close your tabs without fear. Toby has them. Who uses Toby Product managers juggling three projects at once. Teachers with a set of links for every subject. Researchers building a library of sources over months. Anyone with too many tabs and nowhere to put them. Teams at Google, Netflix, Amazon, HubSpot and IBM use Toby, along with people in 144 countries. #1 Chrome Extension on Product Hunt. Featured by MIT Tech Review, Business Insider and Google Chrome's feature page. How it works 1. Save your tabs. Save a whole window as a session in one click, and Toby closes those tabs for you. Or drag a single tab onto your board. 2. Organize them. Group tabs into collections, and collections into spaces: one for each client, class or research project. 3. Pick up where you left off. Open one tab or a whole collection from your new tab, the side panel or the toolbar. Your collections sync to every computer you sign in on. Save and restore sessions • Save every tab in a window as a session, and close them all in the same click. You can keep them open instead if you'd rather. • Restore a saved session later with one click, on any device. • Save a single Chrome tab group too. Its color comes with it, and when you reopen it, it comes back as a tab group in the same color. Tame your open tabs • See every open window and tab in one panel, right next to your saved collections. • Put a window's tabs into a tab group, or just the ones you pick. Rename the group, change its color or ungroup it. • Merge all your windows into one. Find anything • One search covers your spaces, collections, saved tabs and open tabs. Stop re-Googling pages you already found. • On paid plans, the same search covers your browsing history. You can also find and remove duplicate saved tabs across your collections. More ways to work • Keep Toby open in Chrome's side panel, beside the page you're reading. Prefer a popup? Switch in Settings. • Drag and drop everything: move tabs between collections, merge two collections, or drop a collection onto your open tabs to open it. • Write notes on your board, with checklists, links and formatting. • Use Next to line up the tabs you need to get through, like a to-do list. • Type to/docs or to/standup in your address bar to jump straight to a page you saved under that name. • Choose a theme, dark mode or a color-blind friendly palette. • Works in narrow windows and on small screens. • On paid plans, Smart features can name a collection, sort its tabs or group your open tabs for you. New in Toby 2.0 Already use Toby? Version 2.0 is a ground-up rebuild. Update and everything is where you left it: your spaces, collections, cards, saved sessions and settings carry over. You get a faster dashboard, Toby in the side panel (on by default), rebuilt drag and drop, a new notes editor, tab group controls, one search for everything, color-blind palettes, and Smart features that are now opt-in. Toby also tells you when you're offline or when a save didn't go through, so nothing is lost silently. Your privacy Toby only asks for the permissions it needs. It never reads the pages you visit. It only sees the titles, addresses and icons of the tabs you choose to save. Smart features are off until you turn them on. We never sell your data. ★★★★★ If Toby has changed how you work, a review helps us keep building. Support: https://help.gettoby.com/support/tickets/new Privacy policy: https://gettoby.com/privacy
