)Overview
A keyboard-first tab manager that helps you quickly navigate and manage your tabs
Too many tabs? tiptaptab turns them into one fast, keyboard-driven list. Hit the toolbar icon (or Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+K) and every open tab — across all your windows — appears in a single page. Then drive it with vim keys, no mouse required: • j / k move (J / K jump 5, Ctrl+d / Ctrl+u jump 10, g / G top / bottom) • x close (hold it — bursts never drop a press) • o / Enter switch to the tab (O or Shift+Enter: switch and close tiptaptab) • u undo the last close • / search titles, hostnames and URLs — ↑ ↓ then Enter opens • Space mark tabs, then x closes just those • X close every tab in the current list • D close duplicate tabs (keeps the newest) • w show only this window • s sort by least- or most-recently used • ? the full cheat sheet WHAT MAKES IT FEEL GOOD • Instant. The list paints in well under 100 ms and updates live as tabs open and close elsewhere. • Forgiving. Every close is undoable — a burst of closes becomes one toast with a single Undo. • Dense. Compact rows show favicon, title, host and last-used time; duplicates, pinned, playing-audio and per-window badges at a glance. • Yours. Dark mode follows your OS (or override it), optional key sounds and animations, and a running "tabs closed" counter with the occasional milestone. PRIVACY tiptaptab has no server, no analytics and no network calls. It reads your open tabs only to show them to you; settings live in Chrome's local storage. The "tabs" permission is optional and requested only when you first open the app — Chrome's wording ("read your browsing history") is standard for that permission, and you can verify from DevTools that nothing is sent anywhere. Permissions: storage (settings), sessions (undo close), tabs (optional — list your tabs).
