TinyShield — Lightweight Ad & Tracker Blocker
Overview
Blocks more ads and trackers with local network rules and page cleanup, plus an optional experimental YouTube filter.
TinyShield version 2 adds broader ad-blocking rules, a separate tracker filter, and optional cleanup that hides common ad placeholders. Manage everything from a simple side panel. FEATURES • Block requests to common advertising networks and ad-script URLs. • Turn selected analytics and tracking filters on or off separately. • Hide common ad placeholders with optional page cleanup. • Pause or resume protection with one switch. • Allowlist a website to let its ads through and turn off page cleanup there. • Try the separate experimental YouTube filter. Results may vary. Page cleanup asks for website access only when you enable it. Reload open pages afterward for cleanup to take effect. Website network filtering works without this extra access. TinyShield uses rules and code packaged with the extension. Settings stay in your browser profile; TinyShield does not send page or browsing data to a server or download remote filter lists. The curated rules may miss ads, especially ads served directly by a website. Tracker blocking may affect some site features, and page cleanup may hide elements you want to see. Turn off a filter or allowlist the site if needed. YouTube filtering is experimental and may not block every ad.
