1. How to Test the Core Features: - Popup Conversion: Click the extension icon to open the popup. It dynamically displays the current local time, UTC time, and timestamps. Type any timestamp (e.g., 1716551593) into the input box, and it will instantly convert to a readable date. - Context Menu & activeTab: Go to any public webpage containing a timestamp or date text. Highlight the timestamp (e.g., 1716551593), right-click, and select "Convert to Date-Time" (or vice versa). The extension will convert the text and automatically copy the result to your clipboard. 2. Justification for Requested Permissions: - `activeTab`: Used exclusively to securely access the active tab's selected text *only* when the user explicitly triggers the context menu or performs a selection interaction. - `contextMenus`: Used to register the quick-access conversion options in the browser's right-click menu. - `storage`: Used strictly via `chrome.storage.local` to store the user's local configuration preferences (e.g., default timezone, custom date format) and the last 10-20 local conversion history logs. 3. Privacy & Safety Commitments: - 100% Local Execution: All date-time parsing and formatting calculations are performed entirely on the client side. - Zero Network Requests: This extension does NOT use fetch, XMLHttpRequest, or any external APIs. It collects, stores, or transmits NO user data or browsing behavior over the internet. - Clean Code Structure: The source code is written in pure, vanilla JavaScript without any minification or code obfuscation, ensuring complete transparency.
