Overview

Convert Unix timestamps to human dates and back — auto-detected units, exact precision. Your input never leaves your browser.

Timestamp Converter — Epoch & Human Dates is a paste-in, paste-out popup for anyone who reads Unix timestamps all day: backend devs, SREs, and data engineers staring at logs, DB dumps, JWT payloads, and API responses. Paste a value either direction, get a clean answer back — no tab switch to a web converter required. EXACT, DOWN TO THE NANOSECOND This is the whole point of the tool. Epoch timestamps come in seconds, milliseconds, microseconds, and nanoseconds, and the unit is auto-detected by magnitude the moment you paste — with one-tap overrides if you want to force a unit. Conversion math runs on arbitrary-precision integers instead of ordinary floating-point numbers, so a 19-digit nanosecond epoch converts and round-trips digit-for-digit, with nothing silently rounded or truncated. Precision is treated as correctness, not a nice-to-have. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Zero access to your browsing — no content scripts, no host permissions. It cannot read your open tabs or the page. Every byte of conversion happens locally. This extension collects no data of any kind — no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry. The only network traffic it ever makes is a purchase-verification check with ExtensionPay if you choose to upgrade. BOTH DIRECTIONS, FREE • Epoch → human: paste any integer; see local time and UTC side by side, in ISO-8601 and friendly readable form, plus relative time ("3 hours ago"). Pre-1970 negative epochs work too. • Human → epoch: paste ISO-8601, RFC 2822, "YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss", or looser natural-language dates. An "interpreted as: …" line always shows how your input was read, so ambiguity is never a guessing game. Output shows seconds, milliseconds, microseconds, and nanoseconds at once, each with its own copy button. • Now button: the current moment in all four units, ticking live. • Your unit default, time format, and theme are remembered between sessions. PREMIUM ($5 one-time) • Batch conversion: paste a whole column of timestamps — mixed units are fine, each line auto-detected on its own — and get a converted column back, copyable as text or CSV. • Custom output format strings: build your own display format with simple tokens (YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm:ss.SSS style) and save named formats for reuse. • Pinned multi-timezone panel: pin up to 8 timezones and see every conversion resolved in all of them at once, side by side. No subscription, no account — pay once, keep the features. One popup for both directions of Unix time, built so the precision holds even at nanosecond scale, without ever asking to see what's on your screen.
