With Timer, keep a countdown timer running while you handle other tasks.

A focused countdown timer for work or study in the browser. Set a duration, start it, and continue reading, writing, attending a meeting, or handling an administrative task while the countdown runs. The popup is not the timing source, so closing it does not stop an active timer. Use the timer for a 45-minute focus session, a short break, or a reminder while you stay on the current page. The timer clock view shows remaining time and status, while the toolbar badge provides a compact view of the active countdown. 1. Choose hours, minutes, and seconds for a duration. 1. Start, pause, resume, restart, or reset one countdown. 1. Add one minute without stopping a running timer. Quick controls make common intervals available without entering values manually. Select 5 minutes, 10 min, or 45 minutes to begin immediately. You can also adjust the duration before starting, with supported values from 0 to 99 hours and 0 to 59 minutes and seconds. 1️⃣ Use the 5-minute preset for a brief break. 1️⃣ Use the 10 min preset for a short task. 1️⃣ Use the 45-minute preset for a focused session. A visual timer display shows countdown progress as time passes. The remaining time is also shown in the toolbar badge, using seconds, minutes, or hours as appropriate. A paused timer uses a pause indicator, and a completed timer uses an alert indicator. - Open the timer from the right-click menu. - Start 5, 10, or 45 minute countdowns from that menu. - Use the menu without providing page text, links, images, URLs, or page contents to the extension. When time reaches zero, a compact visible completion alert is opened near the bottom-right of the last active normal browser window when that window information is available. It offers Snooze 5 min and Dismiss controls. Pressing Escape dismisses the completion alert. ➤ Snooze starts a new five-minute timer. ➤ Dismiss clears the active completion signal. ➤ Only one short-lived completion alert is kept, helping prevent old alert windows from accumulating. 💡 An optional bundled alarm chime is enabled by default. You can turn off the sound preference in the popup. When sound is enabled, the local sound is played at completion and the temporary audio document closes after playback. 📌 The completion alert is the primary completion signal. If the browser cannot create that alert window, the extension attempts to use a system notification instead. The actual display of that fallback can still depend on browser and operating-system notification settings. • Timer state, selected duration, and alarm-sound preference are stored locally in the browser profile. • No personal data is collected, transmitted, sold, or shared. • No analytics, advertising, tracking, external APIs, external requests, or remotely hosted code are used. 📍 The extension requests no host permissions and cannot read or change websites. Its right-click commands use only the selected command identifier. Removing the extension removes its locally stored extension data through the browser standard removal process. ▸ The interface is available only in English. ▸ One countdown is supported at a time; there is no stopwatch, Pomodoro mode, or collection of named timers. ▸ If the entire browser is closed when time expires, the extension cannot run at that exact moment. An overdue timer is handled when the browser next starts. Q: Will the timer continue after the popup closes? A: Yes. Countdown state is stored locally and uses an absolute end time, allowing the timer to continue through popup closure, service-worker suspension, and browser restart. Q: Can I set timer values that are not presets? A: Yes. Enter whole-number hours, minutes, and seconds. Invalid or zero-duration input is rejected with an inline message. Q: Does the countdown timer inspect the page I am viewing? A: No. The timer does not inspect or store page content, selected text, links, images, or URLs.
