TimeFunction - Wikipedia Timeline
Overview
Turn Wikipedia articles and web pages into chronological timelines.
TimeFunction turns Wikipedia articles into clear, chronological timelines — in one click, without leaving the page. Reading a long Wikipedia biography or historical article? TimeFunction finds dated events in the text and organizes them by year so you can see the story unfold in order. HOW IT WORKS ON WIKIPEDIA • Open any Wikipedia article (people, wars, countries, events, etc.) • Click the bright orange Timeline button at the bottom-right • A compact side panel opens with a chronological timeline for that article • Drag the left edge of the panel to make it wider if you want more room • Scroll through years and events; filter by people, places, and organizations WORKS ON OTHER PAGES TOO • Click the TimeFunction icon in your Chrome toolbar on any tab to build a timeline for the current page URL • On Google search results, optional quick-access buttons help you open timelines for linked pages WHO IT’S FOR • Students studying history, biographies, or current events • Researchers who want a quick chronological overview before deep reading • Anyone curious about “when did what happen?” while browsing Wikipedia POWERED BY TIMEFUNCTION.COM Timelines are generated using TimeFunction’s web service (timefunction.com). The extension sends the page URL you choose to our servers so we can analyze public page content and return timeline data. We do not sell your browsing data.
