Time to Break: Break Reminder & 20-20-20 Eye Timer
Overview
Break reminder with a 20-20-20 eye rest timer. Pauses every tab for a short break to ease eye strain. Free, private, no account.
Time to Break is a break reminder for Chrome built around the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. When the timer runs out, every open tab shows a break screen with a 20 second countdown and a tip for your eyes. When it ends, your tabs are exactly as you left them. WHAT IT DOES - An eye break reminder every 20 minutes, on all tabs at once - A longer five minute break every fourth time, with tips to stand up and stretch - Skip a break, or snooze it for 5 minutes - Strict mode: breaks that cannot be skipped or snoozed - Pauses while your screen is locked - Optional sound and desktop notifications - Statistics for today and the last 7 days, with CSV export - Your own break title and tips - English, Russian and Uzbek PRIVATE No account, no analytics, no ads. The extension makes no network requests: your settings and statistics stay in your browser. Every length can be changed: the work time, the short break, the long break, and how often the long break comes. The 20-20-20 rule is general advice for comfort at a screen, not medical treatment. If your eyes hurt or your vision changes, see an eye doctor.
