Doesn't understand desks
If I use this extension in combination with desks (virtual desktops), the tiling manager will leave gaps for windows that are in a different desk.

requires permission to read browsing history?
Hi! Why does this extension require permission to read browsing history? Is there any way to use this extension without granting that permission?

It works great but not at first installation
Great web app. If you are having issues making it to work, read the following text.
At first I could not get it to work, even installing it and uninstalling the application multiple times, however, seeing that many others were commenting on the effective functionality, I had to keep testing it to verify what the problem was.
Web app version: 0.7
ChromeOS version: Version 92.0.4515.157 (Official Build) (64 bits), August 2021
The findings that I can share with you, are the following:
1) Before installing the web app, I recommend that you make your resolution very high. In small resolutions the app has not worked for me. Changing the Chrome OS resolution on the fly helps too.
2) Configure the keyboard shortcuts, since through the "cycle to next layout" you can "force" the web app to recognize the windows while navigating the different types of window formations. Not all the key combinations must be filled, however, the ones I have configured are (I have not yet tested the web app on more than one monitor):
Alt + Shift + H shrink the main pane (Suggest Alt + Shift + H)
Alt + Shift + L expand the main pane (Suggest Alt + Shift + L)
Alt + Shift + J focus the next window counterclockwise (Suggest Alt + Shift + J)
Alt + Shift + K focus the next window clockwise (Suggest Alt + Shift + K)
<none> focus display 1 (Suggest Alt + Shift + W)
<none> focus display 2 (Suggest Alt + Shift + E)
<none> focus display 3 (Suggest Alt + Shift + R)
<none> move the focused window one window counterclockwise (Suggest Ctrl + Shift + H)
<none> move the focused window one window clockwise (Suggest Ctrl + Shift + L)
Alt + Shift + 1 move the focused window to display 1 (Suggest Ctrl + Shift + W)
Alt + Shift + 2 move the focused window to display 2 (Suggest Ctrl + Shift + E)
<none> move the focused window to display 3` (Suggest Ctrl + Shift + R)
Alt + Shift + P swap the focused window with the main window (Suggest Alt + Shift + Return)
<none> increase the number of windows in the main pane (Suggest Alt + Shift +,)
<none> decrease the number of windows in the main pane (Suggest Alt + Shift +.)
Alt + Shift + Space cycle to next layout (Suggest Alt-Shift-Space)
<none> cycle to previous layout (Suggest Ctrl-Shift-Space)
<none> force windows to be reevalulated (Suggest Alt + Shift + Z)
3) Not all windows are compatible with the web app. Windows such as the file manager, Chrome applications (e.g. Caret), Android Apps or the windows of programs activated by Linux, have not worked for me. Common Chrome windows, the incognito window (the flag to allow the web app to run at incognito should be activated), chrome settings window, PWAs (e.g. Google Keep, Google Drive) and the Linux terminal (crostini) worked correctly.
4) My Chrome OS configuration is in Spanish, so some of the options text can show visual errors so I recommend you to fix the source code as I did if this annoys you, and install the app as an unpackaged extension. https://github.com/brockgr/chrometile
I can recommend the author to update some of the app description because information like this can help other to use it more, because once working, its great.

Not Working: "move the focused window to display X"
Working with 2 displays and can't move windows between displays with the key binding.
Doing so with mouse drag and drop is rather cumbersome since the extension doesn't seem to pick up on the fact that its moved 80% of the time and moves it back to the display it was on. Only if you resize it to be smaller than the display bounds and then move it does the extension pick up on the display change.

Documentation?
I'm not able to actually get this to work on my Chromebook and I would really like to. Is there any documentation I can read to get it running?

Does this window manager support binary space partitioning, or just predefined layouts?
So can one decide to use the more traditional method of tiling where when a new windows is opened it splits the current window, or is it more like here is a pre-defined 4, 3, or 2 window layout?
