Tilder — On-Device AI Assistant
Overview
Ask questions about any page, video, or doc you're viewing — answered on-device, with a web search fallback when needed.
Tilder is a Chrome extension that answers questions about whatever page you're reading, summarizes articles and YouTube videos, and searches the web when it needs to — powered by AI that runs right on your device. By default, Tilder answers using Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano model — nothing you ask has to leave your browser. Want deeper reasoning? Download Google's Gemma 4 model once, right from the side panel, for noticeably smarter answers, still fully on-device. If the page doesn't have your answer, Tilder checks the web and shows exactly where each fact came from — it never guesses quietly. Features: Ask anything about the page you're viewing Suggested questions the moment you open Tilder, matched to what kind of page you're on Select any text to explain, rephrase, shorten, elaborate, summarize or translate it One-click page summaries YouTube video summaries and answers, built from the actual transcript Google Docs support "Source: on this page" links that scroll to and highlight the exact passage an answer came from Optional upgrade to a stronger on-device model (Gemma 4) Web search fallback with cited sources, only when the page and the model's own knowledge fall short Tilder is free, requires no account, and needs no API key.
