Netflix gives you one list. Everything you ever meant to watch, in an order you did not choose, with no folders, no search inside it, and no way to remove more than one thing at a time. So it grows. And on the night you actually want to watch something, you scroll it and give up. TidyWL for Netflix puts a real dashboard over that list. Open Netflix, press Alt+L. WHAT YOU GET Every title as a card that carries the IMDb rating, the runtime, the year, the genre and the maturity rating — the things you need in order to choose, which Netflix will not show you until you have clicked in. Sort by IMDb rating, runtime, year, title or type. Filter by genre, type, maturity or runtime, and by whether you have already watched it — for films and for shows. A breakdown of your list by genre, biggest first. Click one to see only those. Custom playlists. Tonight. Under 90 minutes. With the kids. As many as you want, up to 50 per Netflix profile with 500 titles in each. Netflix has never offered these. Search Netflix by title, actor or director without leaving the dashboard, and browse more than a hundred categories Netflix keeps out of its own genre picker — Mockumentaries, Korean Crime Dramas, and a great many more. Add anything you find to My List, or straight into a playlist without touching My List at all. Rest the pointer on any result and a panel opens beside it with the synopsis, the cast, the director and the genres. Bulk remove: tick as many titles as you like and clear them in one run, with a confirm that names the count and a receipt when it is done. Pin the ones you actually mean to watch, so nothing takes them out by accident. Export the whole list, or just what you filtered down to, as CSV or JSON. THREE TABS 1. GETTING STARTED 1. Add it to Chrome. It is free and there is no account to make. 2. Open Netflix and press Alt+L, from any browse page, on any profile. The toolbar button does the same thing. 3. Press Sync, once. It reads your list and your watch state and keeps them. Every time you open the dashboard after that it opens instantly and asks Netflix for nothing. PRIVACY There is no TidyWL server, no account, and no usage tracking of any kind. Your list, your watch state and your playlists stay in your browser, because there is nowhere for them to be sent. Three requests do leave your browser, and none of them says anything about you: - A public settings file from tidywl.com. Every install receives the same one. - IMDb's public daily ratings file, which is kept in your browser for twelve hours at a time. - Netflix's numeric title ids, sent to Wikidata to find the matching IMDb id. Ids only: no titles, no account, no identifier of any kind, and nothing that says which ids came from the same person. Netflix playback is never touched anywhere in it. It does not ask for a Netflix password, an API key, or a sign-in of any kind. It works through the Netflix session you are already signed in with, on your own account. It runs on netflix.com and nowhere else. GOOD TO KNOW - Chrome on a computer. No Chrome extension can run on Chrome for Android, so there is no phone version. - Everything is stored per Netflix profile. The kids profile never sees your playlists and neither can overwrite the other. - Playlists travel to your other signed-in Chrome browsers through Chrome's own sync — through Google, not through us. We have no copy. - Uninstalling removes everything it stored in that browser. - Removing a title from My List here removes it from Netflix, everywhere, because it is the same list on Netflix's side.
