Tick & Tape is PDF markup made for accountants. Open a client's financial statements, bank statements or tax documents and mark them up the way you would on paper. WHAT IT DOES • Adding machine tape: key amounts or click them on the page, and place the tape on the PDF beside the figures it proves. • Tick marks and stamps: checks, crosses and other tick marks, ENTERED, REVIEWED, AGREES, NON TAX, PY, N/A, DUPLICATE, and your initials with the date. A tick-mark legend in your firm's own wording. • Tie-outs: link a number on one page to the same number on another, with the page shown on both ends. • Review pass: a reviewer adds notes, the preparer answers them, and the reviewer clears them. A list keeps count of what's still open. • Scanned pages: draw a box round a column on a scan and the amounts are read for you. Make a whole scan searchable. • Notes, highlights, shapes, pictures and screenshots, redaction, form filling, combining PDFs, and bookmarks. • Save back to the PDF with your markup in layers you can keep editing, as a marked copy or over the original, with optional auto-save. Or save a flattened copy to send outside the firm. If someone else changed the file in the meantime, Save asks before writing over it. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your files never leave your computer. Tick & Tape has no server, no account and no sign-in. It doesn't collect, send or share anything. It works with no internet connection. The extension asks for no permissions: it can't see your other web pages. HOW TO USE IT Click the Tick & Tape button in the toolbar. The app opens in a new tab. Open a PDF, or click "Try the sample" to try it on made-up financials. Each click opens another tab, so you can work on two documents side by side. The user guide is built in: click the ? button.
