Tic Tac Toe is one of the most classic games ever made. This extension brings it into the modern workplace — fully online, fully multiplayer, with everyone playing on their own screen at the same time. No passing devices. No shared screens. One person creates a room and shares a 6-character code on Slack or WhatsApp. Everyone else joins from their own Chrome browser in seconds. The game begins. HOW IT WORKS The host creates a room, picks a game mode, and shares the room code with teammates. Other players join by entering their name, the room code, and picking a unique personal symbol from a wide collection of shapes, emojis, animals, food icons, and letters. Once everyone is in, the host starts the game and turns begin immediately. Each player takes turns placing their symbol on the board. The first player to get the required number in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — wins the round. The board size adjusts automatically based on how many players are in the room, so larger groups always have a fair and competitive game. GAME MODES Casual — No time pressure. Take as long as you need. Perfect for thinking through your strategy. Beginner — Each player has 10 seconds per turn. A gentle nudge to keep the game moving without too much pressure. Medium — 5 seconds per turn. You need to think ahead rather than in the moment. Expert — 3 seconds per turn. Fast, focused, and unforgiving if you hesitate. PRO — 1 second per turn. Purely instinctive. One blink and your turn is gone. Infinite Mode — This is where the game becomes something completely different. Each player is only allowed to have 3 marks on the board at any one time. When you place your 4th mark, your oldest mark automatically disappears from the board. A red glow shows exactly which of your marks will vanish next, so you always know what is about to change. This creates a constantly shifting board where no position is ever truly safe, draws become nearly impossible, and every move requires you to think several steps ahead. It is the most strategic and unique mode in the game — nothing like standard Tic Tac Toe. FEATURES Real-time multiplayer — All moves, turns, and results sync instantly across every player's screen using Firebase Realtime Database. No delays, no page refreshes. 2 to 6 players — The board scales automatically. Two players get a classic 3×3 grid. Three or four players get a 5×5 grid where you need four in a row to win. Five or six players get a 7×7 grid where five in a row is needed. Countdown timer — In timed modes, both a circular countdown and an animated progress bar appear simultaneously for every player, showing exactly how much time the current player has left. If the timer runs out, the turn is automatically skipped. Live chat — A chat box is built into the game screen so players can talk, tease, or celebrate during the game in real time. Symbol picker — Each player picks their own unique symbol before joining. Options include classic shapes like X and O, emoji characters, animals, food items, sports icons, and letters. No two players in the same room can use the same symbol. Session leaderboard — Wins and win streaks are tracked across multiple games in the same session. At the end of each game, the full leaderboard is shown to every player at once. Custom avatars — Each player gets an emoji avatar that appears next to their name throughout the game. Dark and light mode — Switch between themes using the toggle in the top bar. Your preference is saved between sessions. Game state persistence — Closing the extension popup does not end your game.
