ThreadAttic adds a side drawer to chatgpt.com that keeps your chats in order: folders, pins, search, saved prompts and export. Everything is stored in your own browser. No account, no sign-up. FREE • Folders: sort your chats into up to 20 folders. Drag a chat onto a folder, or use the ⋯ menu. • Pins: keep the chats you reuse at the top. • Search by title, instantly: any word order, ignores capitals and accents. • Prompt library: save up to 10 prompts and insert one into the message box with a click. It is inserted as you wrote it; it is never sent for you. • Export the chat you are looking at as a Markdown file. THREADATTIC PRO (paid) • Search inside your chats: find a chat by a word from the conversation, with a snippet. • Unlimited prompts, with {{variables}}: write "Translate to {{language}}" and ThreadAttic asks you for the value each time. • Export many chats at once: all of them, your pinned chats, or one folder (chats whose text ThreadAttic has saved; see Good to know), as Markdown or plain text (one file per chat in a .zip, your folders become directories) or as one JSON file. You can add dates. • Save full chat: ChatGPT draws only the part of a long chat that is near the screen. One click scrolls the chat from top to bottom and back, so every message is saved. It stops the moment you scroll, type or click, and keeps what it has read. • Backup and restore: one file with your folders, chat list, prompts and saved chat text. You can see the plans and buy at https://lukaslabs.top/pricing PRIVACY • No account registration. • The free version makes no network requests at all. • Your folders, pins, prompts and settings stay on your own computer. • If you buy Pro, the text of the chats you open is saved on your own computer so it can be searched and exported. It is never sent anywhere. • If you activate Pro, the extension contacts our license server (lukaslabs.top) to check your key: when you activate, about once a day, and when you deactivate. It sends the key and a random device number, nothing else. Never your chats. Our server passes the key on to our payment provider, Creem, to check it; it keeps only a one-way hash of the key and writes only a masked form of it to its logs. • Your license key is kept as plain text (not encrypted) in the extension's own storage in your browser. Web pages, including chatgpt.com, cannot read it. • No ads, no tracking, no analytics, no remote code. • The extension only runs on chatgpt.com, and only reads what is already in the page. It does not use any private ChatGPT interface. GOOD TO KNOW • Free does not save the text of your chats. Search inside chats and exporting many chats need Pro. If you upgrade, open a chat again once: ThreadAttic saves the text of a chat when you open it with Pro active, so chats you have not opened since upgrading cannot be searched or bulk-exported yet. • Long chats: ChatGPT draws only the part of a long chat near the screen, so ThreadAttic saves a long chat window by window as you read it. Use Save full chat (Pro) once to save all of it. When ThreadAttic can tell that a chat is longer than what it has saved, the panel says "Not all messages saved yet" and the export says so at the top. When it cannot tell, it says nothing. Free exports what is on screen. • A long code block that the page only partly draws is read in full from the page when possible; when it is not, the export says so right after that code block. • Dates in exports mean when ThreadAttic saved the chat's text and when you exported it. They are not the times the messages were sent; the page does not show those. • ChatGPT loads your chat list as you scroll, so ThreadAttic lists the chats the sidebar has shown it ("N chats saved"), not necessarily all of your chats. • A very large export (over about 200 MB) is refused with a note to export one folder at a time. • Desktop Chrome 130 or newer. No sync between devices. Chrome only. • If the site changes its layout, ThreadAttic does less or hides itself; it never changes your chats. • ThreadAttic is an independent tool, not made by or affiliated with OpenAI.
