Overview
Clip links, highlights, images and notes from any page onto your Thoughtogram board.
Send anything you find on the web straight to your Thoughtogram board, without breaking your reading. Requires a Thoughtogram account. Thoughtogram is a one time purchase at thoughtogram.com, and this clipper is included with it. It will not do anything on its own. 📌 Two ways to clip Right click, for speed. Right click any page to save it to your Home board. Highlight some text first and right click to save the passage instead, with the source page attached. No dialog, no typing, back to what you were reading. The toolbar button, for control. Click the icon and you get the page title and URL already filled in. Add a note, choose which board it lands on, and save. Useful when you are collecting into a specific board rather than throwing things at Home. Either way, your board opens on the card you just made, so you can see where it landed. 🎬 What a clip turns into Clip a YouTube page and the card becomes the video itself, playable on your board rather than a link you have to leave for. Click the card to switch it back to a plain link when you want the space back, and click again to bring the player back. Clip a direct image link, one ending in .jpg, .png, .gif or .webp, and the picture itself lands on the board. Drag it to resize it and it stays that size. Everything else arrives as a tidy titled link carrying the site's own favicon, so a board of clippings stays readable at a glance instead of turning into a wall of raw URLs. Highlighted text arrives as the passage itself, with the page it came from attached underneath. 🧠 What it feeds into Thoughtogram is a fixed visual board for thinking. One screen, no scrolling, no zooming. Every card stays exactly where you put it, at the size you chose, readable at a glance. Any board can link to any other board in any direction, so your clippings grow into a personal visual wiki rather than a folder of dead bookmarks. The board itself runs at thoughtogram.com and needs nothing installed. This extension is purely the way in. ✅ Good for ✔️ Research: collect quotes and sources for one project onto one board ✔️ Watch later lists where the videos actually play on the board ✔️ Reading lists you will actually look at again ✔️ Visual bookmarks instead of a folder you never open ✔️ Mood boards and references, since clipped images show as images ✔️ Quotes and passages, saved with the page they came from ✔️ Anything you want out of your head and onto a board before you forget it 🔒 What it does with your data Clips go to your own Thoughtogram account and nowhere else. There is no analytics, no tracking and no third party. The extension talks to thoughtogram.com and no other site. It checks whether you are signed in to thoughtogram.com so it knows whether to offer to save, and it reads the title and address of the tab you are on at the moment you click, so it can fill them in for you. It does not read pages you have not asked it to clip. Privacy policy: https://www.thoughtogram.com/privacy-policy.php 📥 Your notes stay yours Export any card to your clipboard, or a whole board to Markdown, at any time. Your notes work in Obsidian, Notion, or anywhere else that reads text. Traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS, and your data is encrypted at rest on the server.
