Overview

Save the recipe you're reading. You get an aisle-sorted shopping list you can share, so nobody buys the same onions.

Save the recipe you're reading, then paste in the rest of the week's links at thisweek.food. The app pulls out the ingredients, files each under the aisle you'll actually find it in, and merges the overlaps: three recipes calling for garlic become one line, not three. Share the list with whoever's shopping, and each of you can claim what you're grabbing, so you don't both come home with onions. WHAT THE EXTENSION DOES - Save the recipe you're looking at without leaving the page - Every ingredient is filed under one of nine aisles, in the order you walk the store, so you shop the list top to bottom - Right-click any recipe link and add it from the context menu - Add it to this week's list, another list, your favorites, or a new list you start from the popup - Not signed in? It's kept on this device and moves into your account the next time you open thisweek WHAT THE LIST DOES - Every ingredient filed under one of nine aisles: produce, meat & poultry, dairy & eggs, frozen, bakery, oils & vinegars, pantry / durable, spices & seasoning, other - Overlapping ingredients merge and the quantities add up - Add your own items for what no recipe covers - Check items off as you shop; the list always shows what's left - Open a list once and it still works when the signal drops in the store SHOPPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE - Share a list for viewing or editing, or set it public and send a link anyone can open, no account needed - Claim an item, or a whole recipe, and the avatars show who's getting what DINNERS TO COOK FROM - Week-by-week dinner menus, and the cooks behind them: Julia Child, James Beard, M.F.K.
