Thicket turns a crowded tab strip into a few clear projects you can understand at a glance. WHAT THICKET DOES Organizes tabs into useful groups. Thicket looks at the titles and addresses of your open tabs, figures out which activity they belong to, and mirrors strong groups into Chrome’s own tab strip. It avoids vague labels, skips weak one-tab and two-tab groups, and leaves tab groups you created yourself alone. Regroups on demand. Click Regroup tabs whenever your work changes. Thicket removes only the Chrome groups it created, learns from your corrections, and rebuilds a cleaner layout without touching your own groups. Keeps the popup useful. Find a tab, Regroup tabs, Clear the noise, and History all work directly in the small extension popup. Only Open Thicket opens the full dashboard, and Thicket reuses one pinned dashboard tab instead of creating another tab every time. Finds open tabs fast. Find searches the tabs that are open right now, so results are simple and predictable. Recently closed pages and groups have their own clearly labeled History screen, where you can search, reopen, remove individual entries, or clear everything. Closes clutter safely. Clear the noise prepares a review list of duplicates, empty tabs, pages you already saved, and tabs that look finished. Nothing closes until you confirm it. Active, pinned, audio-playing, and tabs you mark Permanent stay protected. Closed pages remain recoverable in History. Handles groups without making Chrome harder to use. Collapse Thicket groups in one click, collapse or expand individual groups, and optionally collapse every Chrome group. You can also remove Thicket’s native Chrome group wrappers while keeping the tabs and Thicket history intact. Saves work for later. Save a project as a Workspace and restore all of its tabs when you need them. Closing a group records it in History; an optional setting can save closed groups as Workspaces too. Learns your corrections. Rename a group, move tabs, or merge groups inside Thicket. Those choices become durable hints so future grouping matches the way you actually work. FREE AND OPTIONAL PRO The core organizer, popup search, cleanup, history, permanent tabs, workspaces, and local rules work on your device without an account. An optional Thicket account enables cloud-backed features. Thicket Pro adds higher limits plus AI-assisted organization and search when those services are available. Billing and account controls live on the Thicket website. PRIVACY BY DESIGN Thicket works from tab metadata such as titles, sanitized addresses, domains, pinned state, and recent activity. It does not read the contents of webpages and requests no host permissions. Free local features keep their working data in Chrome storage. Banking, healthcare, password-manager, sign-in, checkout, and password-reset pages are excluded from memory, and secret-looking URL parameters are stripped. If you choose to sign in and enable sync or an online AI feature, the data needed for that feature is sent securely to Thicket’s service. Those optional controls can be turned off, and local/history data can be removed from Settings and History. Requires Chrome 121 or later.
