ThemeSnap for Shopify is a lightweight tool for anyone who works on Shopify storefronts—theme developers, agencies, and merchants who tweak themes. Open the extension on a store and it surfaces the theme and shop context you need dozens of times a day, without digging through the admin or reconstructing URLs by hand. What you get: Theme at a glance — See theme name, schema/version when available, theme ID, and shop (myshopify) domain in one place. A clear LIVE vs DRAFT indicator helps you know whether you’re looking at the published theme or a preview/unpublished theme, using Shopify’s theme role and preview signals where possible. Copy preview link — Grab a shareable preview URL (including preview_theme_id when the extension can resolve it), so teammates or clients can open the same theme view you’re on. Copy theme details — One click copies a short block of text (theme name, ID, preview URL) for tickets, Slack, or documentation. Jump to Shopify admin — Open the theme code editor for the detected theme ID, or the main Shopify admin for that store, in a new tab next to your current one. Keyboard shortcuts — Use Chrome extension shortcuts (customizable under chrome://extensions/shortcuts) for copy preview link, open theme editor, and open admin—ideal when your hands are already on the keyboard.
