Overview

The extension is simply for navigating from the current web page to its parent directory.

It only moves to a two-step higher directory if attempted to navigate to the same directory twice due to redirects or similar actions. Note: Chrome extensions are not allowed to run on some Google pages (such as the Chrome Web Store), so this extension does not work there. ## How To Use There are two ways to use it: - Click the icon from the list of Google Chrome extensions. - Input the shortcut key (Alt+↑ or Cmd+↑). - The shortcut key toggles the enable/disable state from the context menu (right-click menu). (Default: Disabled) ## v1.1.2 - Improve: The context menu no longer appears inside extension panels (such as devtools or side panels); it is now shown only on http://, https://, and file:// pages. - Added: The extension now also works on local file:// pages, if "Allow access to file URLs" is enabled for this extension in Chrome's extension settings. ## v1.1.1 - Improve: The extension now injects itself into already-open tabs automatically on install, update, or re-enable, so you no longer need to reload pages after installation. ## v1.1.0 - Fixed the "Extension context invalidated" console error that could appear on already-open tabs after the extension was reloaded or updated. - Added dedicated icons for 16 / 32 / 48 / 128 px so the extension icon stays crisp everywhere (toolbar, extensions page, install dialog). - The content script is now injected only on http:// and https:// pages, matching the actual runtime behaviour. No functional change for end users. - Now requires Chrome 120 or later (aligned with the modern JavaScript/CSS features the extension is built against). ## v1.0.1 - Removed the check that prevented operations when the previous URL and the current URL were the same to support SPA (Single Page Applications). - Changed to disable shortcut keys when focusing on editable elements. - Adjusted the context menu to toggle the enable/disable status of shortcut keys to prevent accidental presses.
