Overview

Experience government transparency firsthand. Certain names are redacted from the internet for your protection.

The Redactor is a satirical browser extension that simulates the U.S. government's approach to transparency: it blacks out certain names — by default, Trump and Epstein — wherever they appear on any page you visit. Hover a redaction to see why you lack the clearance to read it. Click one to declassify it for three glorious seconds before it re-seals itself, as documents do. A badge on the toolbar icon counts redactions per page; the popup keeps a running tally of words withheld from the public. Don't like the default list? Open the options page ("Classified Terms Registry") and file your own amendments — redact your boss, your ex, or the word "synergy." It's your internet now. This is satire. No documents are actually classified. Probably. PRIVACY: The Redactor collects nothing. No analytics, no tracking, no network requests of any kind. Your term list syncs via your browser's own sync account; counters stay on your device. Full policy: https://github.com/sgroiss/Government-Transparency-Simulator/blob/main/PRIVACY.md
