The experiment Extension is a companion extension for The experiment desktop app. It mirrors your desktop focus session inside Chrome and blocks configured social domains while a session is active. How it works: - Start and manage your week/session from the desktop app. - The extension syncs session state from the desktop app (localhost first, then sync server fallback). - During active enforcement, matching sites are redirected to a local blocked page in Chrome. - With desktop usage collection enabled, view local website activity statistics. These stay on your Mac for up to 30 days, are separate for each account, and can be paused or deleted in Settings > Developer. Important: - This extension is companion-mode by design. Session controls live in the desktop app. - The extension does not sell data and does not use data for advertising.
