Thalassa — See it before you scroll it

Not a blocker. Before you open a distracting site, it shows you how long it's been since the last time. You always decide.

Thalassa adds a calm pause before the websites that pull you into feeds. It is not a hard blocker. When you open a managed site or drift into an infinite feed, Thalassa covers the page with one simple fact: how long it has been since the last time. The Open button works from the first second. You can continue, or you can step away. What it does: - Pauses before distracting feed pages. - Lets specific pages go straight through, such as videos, search results, DMs, and individual posts. - Shows local daily timestamps so you can see your own pattern without scores, streaks, or shame. - Lets you manage any website, with built-in defaults for YouTube, X, Reddit, Instagram, and TikTok. - Stores everything on your device. No account, no server, no tracking, no ads. Why feed-only mode matters: Sometimes you need a website for a real reason. YouTube search, a specific video, Reddit comments, Instagram DMs, and single posts can go straight through. The pause appears when you are entering the open-ended parts: home feeds, Shorts, Reels, Explore, For You, and similar pages. Privacy: Thalassa stores your managed sites, local pause timestamps, grace periods, and settings in Chrome's local extension storage. Nothing is uploaded. The optional "find my most- visited sites" feature asks for Chrome's topSites permission only when you click it, and uses the result locally to suggest sites.
