Extract text from a cropped page region.
Textract allows you to crop web page images/ videos for text extraction. It uses Tesseract.js a pure JavaScript port of the popular Tesseract open-source OCR engine. Why Textract? π Data privacy: Thanks to Tesseract.js, All OCR processing is executed in your browser. None of your images/ data is sent to a server. π Supported languages: Supports up to 6 languages (Chinese, English, French, Hindi, Japanese, Spanish). Please, let us know in the comment which languages you want to be added. π―οΈ Accuracy: With Tesseract as the main text recognition engine, optimal results are achieved on printed text with a high-contrast background. We are planning on adding a more powerful text recognition engine as an option in a future update.
