Overview
Navigate faster by typing "go", spacebar (or TAB), and a text string. Ex: "go" + spacebar + "journal" sends you to a Google Doc!
TextLinks lets you open frequently used pages from Chrome’s address bar using short, memorable names. Save names like "mail," "calendar," or "journal." Then type "go" in the address bar, press Space or Tab, and start typing a saved name. TextLinks filters and displays matching destinations as you type. ADD A TEXTLINK 1. Open the webpage you want to save. 2. Open TextLinks from Chrome’s extensions menu. Pin it for quicker access. 3. The current page URL is filled in automatically. 4. Enter a memorable shortcut name and select Save. OPEN A TEXTLINK 1. Focus the address bar with Ctrl+L on Windows/Linux or Command+L on macOS. 2. Type "go," then press Space or Tab to enter TextLinks mode. 3. Start typing a saved shortcut. 4. Select a result with the arrow keys and press Enter. To display every saved TextLink, type "go" and press Space twice. The first Space activates TextLinks; the second lists all your shortcuts. TextLinks is free and contains no ads, analytics, or external accounts. Saved shortcut names and URLs remain in Chrome’s extension storage and are never sent to the TextLinks developer or third parties.
