Text Select .click

Make double-click select text with hyphens, with an added button for quick and easy copying.

Select words with hyphens, dashes, minus signs (-), and other symbols with a single double-click. Text Select .click fixes a frustrating text-selection problem in Chrome. Normally, when you double click a hyphenated word or text containing symbols, Chrome stops at the symbol and selects only part of it. Text Select .click selects the complete word, token, or expression instead. No more careful mouse dragging, adjusting selection edges, or missing a character. Just double-click the text you need and copy it. Useful for selecting: • Words with hyphens and dashes (such as well-known, up-to-date, or en/em dashes) • Command-line flags and parameters (--param-123, -v) • Numbers and expressions with a minus sign (-) • Technical text, IDs, version numbers, IPv4/CIDR blocks (192.168.1.0/24), and file paths (path/to/file) Key Features: • Custom Symbol Selection: Choose exactly which symbols (-, ., /, :, @, and more) connect words when you double-click. • All Hyphens Mode: Automatically matches standard hyphens (-), en dashes (–), em dashes (—), and minus signs. • Quick COPY Button: An optional, unobtrusive COPY button appears right next to your selection (with optional sound feedback). Press Esc anytime to dismiss it. • Easy Link Text Selection: Hover over any link to reveal a subtle Selection bar underneath—click it (or hold Alt / Option while double-clicking) to select words inside a link without opening the URL. • Per-Site Control: Easily exclude specific websites or domains whenever needed.
