TestDossier — capture browser tests

Record a browser journey and get a complete, review-ready test case with evidence in TestDossier.

TestDossier Capture records what happened during a manual browser test and turns it into a documented test case you can review before submitting. Open the side panel, choose your TestDossier project, and press Record. As you test, the extension captures clicks, committed field changes, form submissions, page navigations, screenshots, network request metadata, and uncaught JavaScript errors. When you stop recording, those events are assembled into readable test steps and evidence. The finished capture is submitted as a draft to your TestDossier project. Recording is always user-initiated. The extension requests access only to the website you choose to record and does not observe websites when no recording is active. Captured information remains on your device until you press Submit, and you can discard it without transmitting anything. Password fields and known-sensitive values are masked before capture. Screenshots can be reviewed and permanently redacted before submission. Network evidence includes metadata such as method, URL, status, resource type, and duration. TestDossier does not use AI to generate captured test cases.
