Overview
Save papers to the TensorReading desktop app with one click. Requires the TensorReading desktop app running locally.
TensorReading Connector is the companion browser extension for TensorReading, a local-first literature manager. Requires the TensorReading desktop app running on your computer. The extension talks to the desktop app over a local-only connection (127.0.0.1:23120) — without the app running, saving and collection management will not work. You can download the desktop app from the TensorReading project page. Browse a paper on Google Scholar, arXiv, PubMed, or any page with a DOI — one click on the toolbar icon extracts the title, authors, abstract, journal, and DOI and saves it straight into your TensorReading collection. Search result pages support multi-select so you can import a full page of hits in a single batch. New collections can be created directly from the popup. If the desktop app is not running, the popup will tell you so instead of failing silently. Privacy: The extension only communicates with your local TensorReading desktop app and with public metadata services (CrossRef, arXiv) to resolve DOIs. No data is sent to any TensorReading-operated server.
